Guests must be 21 years of age or older to dine at Thunder Cafe. Guests age 20 or younger must be accompanied by an adult age 21 or older while dining in the restaurant. Thunder Cafe is open 24/7 with an All-American Diner restaurant experience! Plus, we've added a touch of Italian to the menu, with the help of our gas-wood oven. Pull up a chair at the counter and order a fresh-made pizza, or piping-hot bowl of lasagna and more favorites!
Thunder Cafe's main kitchen will be temporarily closed Tuesday, July 7 at 9PM through Wednesday, July 8 at 8AM. During the main kitchen closure, guests can enjoy a limited menu featuring select items and pizzas.
The Pastry Counter is also open 24 hours, featuring a variety of desserts, snacks and more.
Since joining Thunder Valley in 2009, Thunder Cafe Room Chef Ryan’s passion for culinary arts and attention to detail have been an asset to the culinary team. A 2006 graduate of Institute of Technology Culinary Arts, Chef Ryan has spent the last 15 years mastering his craft. He now utilizes those skills to continuously wow guests at Thunder Cafe with his creative and diverse menu creations.
Assistant Pastry Chef Juan Roa is a wonderful combination of creativity and professionalism. Chef Roa has been involved in the industry for 20 years, working in the Sacramento area with skills he refined from his own practice and his schooling. He has competed in the Culinary Olympics in Germany with the California team, winning a gold medal in 2000 and a Silver medal in 2004. Chef Roa is an exceptional asset by consistently delivering quality tastes and showmanship.
Assistant Pastry Chef Cindy Clark has been with Thunder Valley Resort for nearly 15 years. Chef Clark graduated from the Institute of Technology with honors in Baking and Pastry, sharing her passion with her team. Chef Clark specializes in innovative design, decorating and color in her mouth-watering sweet creations.
With nearly 20 years’ experience, Sous Chef Jesus’ appetite for all things food has fueled his incredible career. Specializing in large volume technique, Chef Jesus has spent countless years serving the large groups with style. With his extensive involvement in the community, his talent and creativity has reached many across the greater Sacramento area.
