Rob Grossglauser - Zach to many of his friends - put on a chip-building show throughout the final table of the record-breaking WSOP Circuit TVPokerRoom $1,700 Main Event.
Starting the final table as chipleader, Grossglauser went on a multi-level heater, catching hands, pressuring challengers, and chipping down player-after-player until he landed with nearly a 10-1 chiplead to begin heads-up play against Randall Chamberlain.
Chamberlain fought back to trim Grossglauser's chiplead to 4-1 on a number of occasions, but each occasion was short-lived, Grossglauser's constant betting-pressure kept Chamberlain scrambling for spots.
FLopping a pair on the final hand and holding, Grossglauser secured the victory, the ring, the entry to the WSOP Tournament of Champions and the $205,203 first-place prize.
The tournament set TVPokerRoom circuit records for field size in both starting flights, the overall 726-entry field a record and this is the first time the circuit main event has topped a $1 Million prize pool.
Here's the official results.
